World Suicide Prevention Day

Established by the International Association for Suicide Prevention in 2003, September 10th is a day for awareness, connection, and reducing stigma. Suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among those aged 15 to 29 worldwide. Research consistently shows that asking someone directly whether they are thinking of suicide does not increase risk — it reduces it.
