World Snake Day
There are over 3,700 species of snake, and fewer than 600 are venomous enough to harm humans. Snakes are found on every continent except Antarctica and play critical roles in controlling rodent populations. An estimated 1.8 to 2.7 million snakebite envenomations occur globally each year, making antivenom access a genuine public health priority.
