World Day Against Trafficking in Persons

Designated by the UN General Assembly in 2013, July 30th raises awareness of human trafficking — estimated to affect 50 million people globally in forced labour and sexual exploitation. The theme each year focuses on a different vulnerable group. It is one of the most profitable criminal enterprises in the world, generating $150 billion annually.
