World Cancer Day

Founded in 2000 by the Union for International Cancer Control, World Cancer Day unites researchers, clinicians, and governments behind a shared goal. More than 10 million people die of cancer annually — the second leading cause of death worldwide — yet one-third of those deaths are preventable.
