National Donut Day
The first National Donut Day was held by the Salvation Army in Chicago in 1938, honouring the 'Donut Lassies' who brought donuts to American soldiers in World War I. The celebration โ now the first Friday in June โ has since been thoroughly adopted by Dunkin', Krispy Kreme, and the internet. History and frosting travel together.
