National Cheesecake Day

Cheesecake has been documented since ancient Greece — athletes ate a form of it at the first Olympic Games in 776 BCE. New York-style cheesecake was refined by Arnold Reuben around 1900 using cream cheese. The Cheesecake Factory's menu spans 250 items, but cheesecake remains the reason anyone goes.
