International Human Rights Day
December 10th marks the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the UN General Assembly in 1948, in the immediate aftermath of World War II. Drafted by a committee chaired by Eleanor Roosevelt, it contains 30 articles covering civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights. It is the most translated document in history โ in over 500 languages.
