Proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 2015, this day highlights that women hold fewer than 30% of research positions globally. Marie Curie, Rosalind Franklin, Katherine Johnson, and Tu Youyou are the most cited reasons the number is not zero — and the strongest argument it should be much higher.
