International Beer Day
Founded in Santa Cruz, California in 2007, International Beer Day falls on the first Friday of August — a date chosen to bridge summer festivals globally. Beer is the world's most widely consumed alcoholic drink and the third most popular overall after water and tea. The Reinheitsgebot, Bavaria's 1516 beer purity law, is the world's oldest food regulation still in use.
